A sweet story started to unfold, only like a small town could do. Bicycles, were being bought and added, and being dropped off without notice at my shop, silently the community was showing their support. What started with one bicycle, ended with 20. Behind every bicycle there seemed to be stories that connected people of the community not only to each other, but to other communities. It was nice, to see and hear what impacts the bicycles were having on a small town...... people were communicating, the art had done it's job.
Visual Art, expresses what the eye's can see, and the soul can sense.
One decorated bicycle, started out to be a visual reminder, for an Artwalk being planned.
The connections were endless.....
Chicago, the place where I was born & raised. The Art Museum, the Magnificent Mile, State Street, amazing neighborhoods, people from all walks of life, visual arts was endless. . . right on down to where I spent my summers and now reside, Henry, Illinois.
